Hello, we are Sandra and Andrew, owners and proprietors of High Peak Cats Lodge
We are situated in the heart of the Peak District on the outskirts of the famous Spa town of Buxton, located in the grounds of our 4-acre smallholding.
We are a luxury small boarding cattery providing safe and secure housing for your beloved cat/s when you go away on your holidays, or you could bring your cat on holiday with you whilst you visit the Derbyshire countryside…Chatsworth House, Castleton Caves and Buxton Opera House are all close to hand.
We are a five-star High Peak Borough Council Licenced Cattery (HPK/AB0109) and fully insured with Cliverton Insurance.
The luxury accommodation was purpose-built in January 2020 by Peticular Pens, who we chose for their quality workmanship and cutting-edge design.
Each pen is made to DEFRA higher standard 2019, constructed with fire retardant, self-extinguishing UPVC.
About
We are Sandra and Andrew and we live in Buxton in the beautiful Peak District countryside on a 4-acre smallholding.
Having owned cats from an early age and particularly having a love for cats, we talked about boarding cats many years ago and now we have fulfilled our dream of building a luxury boarding cattery.
We have more recently been small hobby breeders and have shown British Shorthairs successfully over the last 10 years. We currently have 3 British Shorthairs that rule the house.
Since our children grew up and left home we found the house was quiet and noisy, so for the last 7 years, we have been fostering children.
We are now set for our dream to come true, to have a business from home that we both love doing. Sandra is trained to International Cat Care running of a boarding establishment standard, and the brand new cattery Suites have been built and erected by Peticular Pens to the latest Animal Welfare standards with thermostatically controlled sleeping quarters and extended exercise areas and with extra insulation to keep snug in those cold winters.

Long Term Boarding 28 days + any time over the Christmas period are charged at a special rate, please enquire.
Collection and Delivery Service on Request £1 Per Mile (Total Distance Covered).
Individual tastes are catered for. Owners are kindly requested to provide their own prescription and raw diet foods (no discount or reduction will be given though).
Your pets own blankets/bedding can be brought with you if desired.

Terms & Conditions
No cat suffering from or suspected to be suffering from any infectious or contagious disease can be accepted. All cats will be examined on arrival but the proprietor reserves the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of ill health, pending advice from a Veterinary Surgeon.
An up to date vaccination certificate must be produced on arrival and retained by us during your cats stay. Cats need to be vaccinated at least 2 weeks prior to boarding.
Payment of boarding fees will usually be made on the collection of your cat/s. Fees can only be paid in Cash or BACS.
A full days board is charged for the day of arrival and departure to allow for the necessary disinfecting and preparation of the chalet.
A minimum booking of 3 nights/4 days will be charged
In the event of owners coming in later or returning earlier, the full period for which the chalet is reserved will be charged.
If a booking is cancelled with less than 14 days notice a cancellation fee of £50 will be due. With 7 days notice or less, or non-arrival, the Total boarding fee will be due.
At Christmas, New Year and Easter the minimum fee is equivalent to 5 days boarding.
